What can you do about your obsessive thoughts?
You have the thoughts you have for a reason. You can either fight them and wind up making them even more pronounced, or you can accept them and work with them.
The first step in working on yourself is to start to understand 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 and 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸.
We are all creating our own realities and we do so with our 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱.
Most of the time we are barely aware of what we are thinking and why, and that’s just the surface stuff. When you learn how to step behind and watch your thoughts, you realise there’s all kinds of thought that occurs spontaneously and is hidden.
In order to stop creating unconsciously we have to first 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 of all the thoughts, those on the surface and those that are hidden. In order to create consciously we need to 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 so we begin to manifest what we want rather than unconsciously manifesting repeating stories that begun in childhood when our thinking was programmed.
So, to repeat, there is a reason your twin is all you can think about. Ask yourself some questions:
1. What are you thinking about them?
2. What does what you’re thinking about them tell you about yourself?
3. What are you creating with your thoughts about them?
4. How could you reprogram what you think to create something different?
This isn’t a small task that can be completed in a weekend. It’s a huge exercise in relearning and rethinking and it takes dedication and commitment. I’m still discovering things about myself every day and I’ve been at it for over five years now.
The beauty of it though is that as you switch your focus onto yourself and pay attention to yourself and your thoughts, your reality will instantly start to work with you and for you, to support you. As you become your main priority and interest (and you’re endlessly fascinating and interesting), you will stop your obsessive thoughts about your twin and will be able to see them clearly for what they are.
Your twin is a guide for you to get to know yourself. They are showing you the parts of you that up until this point you haven’t been able to see. And they’ll continue to show you 𝙔𝙤𝙪 until you have understood yourself enough to take charge and begun to create the reality you want. One where they aren’t just a trigger and instead a partner you can share your life with.
What do you 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸?
