Astrology: Your Map Back to Yourself

If life has been feeling like it's happening to you rather than for you, this is for you.
I know that feeling. The waking up and wondering how you got here. The sense that somewhere along the way, between the work and the obligations and the keeping everyone else afloat, you lost the thread of yourself. That there's more. There should be more. But you can't quite see where to look for it or how to begin.
That was me.
And then I found myself on a path that led me to astrology. Not the sun sign kind you find in the paper, fun as that is. The real, ancient, this is a sacred map of your life kind. The kind that takes the exact moment of your birth and says: here is who you are. Here is what you came here to do. Here is why the things that have been hard have been hard. And here, quietly, is the way through.
It changed everything for me. I would like to offer that to you.
Your birth chart holds the story of your life
Your birth chart is not just a horoscope in the way we've come to understand it. It's a story. Your story. With your particular gifts and your particular challenges and the particular patterns you've been running for so long you've stopped noticing them. Your chart knows why you keep ending up in the same place. It knows what you truly need. It knows where your strength lives. It knows what you've lost, and what's been hidden even from yourself.
It holds everything. Who you were before this lifetime. Who you are in this one. What you came here to learn, and what it will cost you, and what it will give you. Birth to death, the shape of the whole thing, laid out in symbols, waiting to be read.
I believe we design a lifetime. That somewhere before the body, before the forgetting, we chose this particular story. These parents, this difficulty, this particular recurring ache. Because we needed it. Because the soul doesn't grow in comfort. It grows in the specific friction of a life that was made for it.
Which means the challenges aren't punishment. They aren't random. They are, on some level, the curriculum you wrote for yourself before you arrived.
That's not a small thing to understand. That shift from life is happening to me to life is happening for me is one of the most significant moves a person can make. And the chart is where you find the evidence for it. Your evidence. Your particular, unrepeatable case.
Pull back the curtain and most people expect to find the machinery. The wires, the ordinary man, the proof that it was never magic at all. The chart does the opposite. Pull back the curtain and the magic gets bigger. More coherent. More purposeful than you dared hope.
It can be used practically, to understand what's passed, to see what's coming, to time decisions with more intelligence than guesswork allows. But that's the surface of it.
At its depth, it unlocks something most people spend their entire lives reaching for: the sense that their life means something. That they are not an accident. That the plot makes sense, even the difficult parts.
And all of it is closer than you think. That's the thing nobody tells you. The story isn't up there, in the abstract, in the symbolic. It's here. It's the Tuesday afternoon. The recurring argument. The way you feel at four o'clock. The small habitual life you're living right now, which is not small at all.
And what I've come to understand, after years of practice as an astrologer and as someone who has done the work on herself, is that The Gods are not remote. They are not indifferent to your life. They are not handing you difficulty from a great distance because that's simply how things are.
They are within you and around you. In the planets moving through your sky and in the quiet moments of your every day. They are in what you do when nothing special is happening, in the rhythms you inhabit so completely you've stopped seeing them.
They speak through everything. The birds. The broken toaster. The rain on the window and the sun coming through the trees at that particular angle on that particular afternoon. They have been speaking since the moment you were born, through every ordinary thing that has ever happened to you.
The birth chart is the map of your story. It's how you begin to translate what they've been saying. To recognise the pattern in the seemingly random. To hear, underneath the noise of a life, what is actually being said. To you, through you, with you.
What happens in a reading
When we sit together, in person in Sidmouth at Essential Therapies or on Zoom wherever you are in the world, we're not ticking off planets and houses. We're having a real conversation about your life. What's brought you here. What's been hard. What you're hoping for.
No prior knowledge of astrology needed. I'll meet you exactly where you are.
What I'll show you is yourself. Your actual self. The one written in the stars on the day you were born. Your magic, your strength, the places where your gifts are waiting to be claimed. I'll show you why the patterns that have been running your life make complete sense given who you are. And I'll show you something that has changed my own life profoundly: that meaning and purpose aren't waiting for you somewhere more significant than here. They're woven through the ordinary. Through the Tuesday afternoon and the cup of tea and the music that speaks to you in a particular moment.
Astrology is the tool that helps you meet them there.
"Like 20 years of therapy in one reading. In just one session my perspective was blown open and so much was explained and validated. I left with a deep sense of peace and potential."
Cathy, Birth Chart Reading on Zoom
The chart doesn't run out
A birth chart reading is a beginning, not a conclusion. There is more in your chart than any single conversation can reach, more than several conversations if I'm honest. The chart is not a document you read once and set down. It's something you return to, and each time you return it has more to say, because you have more capacity to hear it.
Which is why the work, when it's working, tends to continue. I'm not suggesting you need me to interpret your life indefinitely, but simply point out that the chart rewards ongoing attention. The planets keep moving. The seasons of your life keep shifting. And the questions you bring to a reading at thirty-five are not the questions you'll bring at forty-two.
Some people read with me regularly and find it keeps them honest with themselves. A way of tracking where they actually are, not where they think they should be. Others do a reading, sit with it for months, then return when something moves. Others still want to develop enough fluency with their own chart that they can begin to read it themselves, and that's something I actively encourage and do my best to teach. My hope is that you leave with enough to start working with it on your own.
However you engage with it, the invitation is the same: not a single answer, but a lifelong conversation.
"Jenny provided so much insightful information that completely shifted how I see my chart and my life. It was an incredibly empowering experience. She explained everything in a way that made it easy to understand, and I left feeling truly inspired."
